David Lionheart: Mixed Media Artist Creating Amazing Abstract Works

Last month, we were lucky to visit “Unbound Perspectives,” a group exhibition held at the amazing Agora Gallery in New York. This beautiful art show featured works by nine international artists, exploring different ways a single subject can be appreciated and interpreted through various media. In this blog post, we want to tell you about David Lionheart, a very talented mixed media artist, whose works were part of “Unbound Perspectives” at Agora Gallery and whose art is something you do not want to miss.

David Lionheart: Mixed Media Artist Creating Amazing Abstract Works

David Lionheart is an American mixed media artist born in Newburgh, NY. In his work, Lionheart uses spray paints, oil paints, industrial materials, wood, and other media to create multi-dimensional layered pieces enhanced by texture and color. His original abstract works are distinguished by their depth and sculptural quality, allowing the viewer to experience every inch of the piece.

In addition to being a mixed media artist, David Lionheart works at the non-profit charity organization Play for Your Freedom, which he founded to help Veterans who suffer from wounds, both seen and unseen, during their recovery process. The aim of the organization is to turn traumas into triumphs and to prove that even a single person can make a positive impact on the world around them. These concepts can also be traced in Lionheart’s art that is often inspired by acknowledging pain, both in the artist’s own life and in the lives of others. He says, “I find myself expressing emotions in the space of various traumas balanced with pieces of empowerment, and hope.”

At Fine Art Shippers, we highly recommend that you visit Agora Gallery to see works by David Lionheart whose amazing mixed media art creates beauty from true understanding.
